Arborist Reports

Depending on organization, municipal, regional or provincial regulations, arborist reports may be necessary for a variety of reasons. Included within the regulatory mandates of these bodies are trees meeting certain criterion such as location (creek corridors, slopes, and covenant areas), tree diameter (depending on municipality), tree species (in BC dogwood trees are protected on private and public land; municipalities may have additional restrictions), and development restrictions (an arborist report and protection plan may need to be in place before building permits are issued).
